You are invited to a Brainstorming Meeting

for the new midwifery education program

at American River College in Sacramento, CA

Program advantages include cost-effectiveness, availability to a wider population, and potential for financial aid.

At this meeting we will spend time in small groups answering key questions to gain wisdom and diverse perspectives to create a premier licensed midwife program at American River College in Sacramento, CA.  This LM/CPM education program, when implemented, will be available through distance learning, with skills intensives in person in Sacramento, and with associated community-based preceptorships. The program creators want to hear from key stakeholders about what they feel will make the program most accessible and based on best possible practices for education and clinical training, all while maintaining the hands-on learning that makes midwifery the leader in patient-focused care and outstanding outcomes. We need your input.

Monday, January 22, 2018, 12-4pm

American River College, Community Room 1

4700 College Oak Drive, Sacramento, CA 95841

This is your opportunity to give input on midwifery education, to tell us what has worked and what hasn’t, what are the barriers to students currently, and so much more. Offer what you think a program needs to increase the quality of midwives who will be serving the women and babies of the future.
