  International Day of the Midwife

  This is a multi-location event with live streaming video across the state.

  • Morning sessions will include advanced midwifery skills with in-person continuing education credits.
  • Afternoon classes will appeal to midwives, students, doulas, childbirth educators and nurses working in L&D. A panel on midwifery history and legislation designed to clarify current regulation as well as identifying areas needing action will be held in the afternoon.
  • Some regions will hold an evening community event for families as well as childbirth professionals with live music, food, dancing and raffles. 

  We’ve been listening to what you’ve been telling us and this event is designed to meet your needs...

  • Participate in your region while on call for births.
  • Avoid expensive travel and accommodation costs.
  • Network with midwives and other childbirth professionals in your area.
  • Bring your family and families you serve to participate in the fun.
  • Connect with potential clients.
  • Support the efforts of CAM to move midwifery forward in California!
